NTA: VA PROJECT BRIEFS

Community Work with young children

Are you passionate about working with young people? NTA has recently set up a number of pre schools across Nusa Tenggara Timur for children aged 4-5 years. Most schools have about 30 students, but there are some with many more. One pre-school at the remote and extremely poor village of Kobekaka in central Timor has 72 kids! Practical skills in areas such as teaching and sports are welcomed but as long as you have the capacity to keep up with these youngsters you could make an enormous difference to their lives. During your stay you may also choose to live as part of a cooperative household – a truly unique experience that will forever change the way you view the comforts of home.
